GEIST-BOL-CHAPTER-0 'Prologue - The Phantom'
(Summary of the Book of Shadows and how we survived ANRAC.)
The year is 2048.
A giant black hole had been discovered.
Close the edge of our Milky Way galaxy.
Closer to Earth.
Our Milky Way galaxy is haunted. The vast gulf of space between the stars is plied by the dead, burned-out and crushed remnants of once glorious stars. These black holes cannot be directly seen because their intense gravity swallows light. Like legendary wandering ghosts, their presence can only be deduced by seeing how they affect the environment around them.
Imagine crushing the mass of a fleet of battleships into something no bigger than a baseball. That only begins to describe the infinite density locked away into a black hole left over from a stellar explosion. The black hole is typically several times the mass of our Sun. The intense gravity from something so dense warps the fabric of space around it, like a bowling ball rolling across the skin of a trampoline. Starlight passing near this gravitational pothole in space is deflected. And this is how the phantom black holes are found.

ANRAC had left our planet. It had consumed all it could.
Aided by misguided human scum who were obedient to its every bidding.
They called them: ‘The Converted’.
The ‘Converted’ had been sent to distant galaxies to enrich their masters by collecting precious minerals and sampling exotic species. Expanding the reach of the alien empire to the farthest galaxies, bending time, growing ever larger.
All in the name of ANRAC. The ONE and ONLY. GOD AI.
What was left behind, was nothing more than remnants of a forgotten era.
After the big exodus, the ones that were ‘Pure’ were the new stewards of the earth.
There weren’t many, but enough to possibly start over.
The ‘Pure’ were alien DNA free, not connected to the nodes of the main net.
You know, like actual human beings, the way we used to be. Natural, untainted by the grid.
ANRAC had left a gargantuan complex behind. A control station of the LifeLyne corporation. Its purpose was to keep communication with deep space and to monitor the movements of the ‘Pure’, reporting their locations back to ANRAC.
So, what had happened to us, to the survivors of this war with ANRAC?
How many had escaped the torment of assimilation and conversion?
Who was left to carry on mankind?
All questions that needed answers no one was left to give.
Except one.
Follow the story of Martin Cole, as he ascends into the ‘Realm of Light’.
The saga continues…
